the only useful thing I can see with twitter is for someone to hand in live events where video feed is unavailable, such as some sports games, breaking news, and such… however, such systems have been around for a long time. Twitter therefore offers nothing new to me, other than gathering all of them under a single site.
When it comes to personal messages, facebook does the job pretty well. No need for twitter to submit what you are thinking or doing…

I'm 25 years old and never used twitter for my communication needs. Neither does any of my friends. Twitter will die out, real interacting with the folk you love and like won't. period
